Research Paper Topics For Speech Language Pathology
Research Paper Topics For Speech Language PathologyBest research paper topics for speech-language pathology are a lot more than just monotonous syllables, straight from the textbook. It's important to understand the nature of a specific research project, as well as the requirements of the audience it is intended for.A research paper on speech-language pathology may be very brief in length, with the aim of getting across a specific point quickly. One approach is to write a short description, consisting of a quote from the journal article or the research paper, followed by the resource cited. The resource will then be listed in brackets, along with the next element that will be discussed.Often, research papers will present a single research topic. This format is fine for most purposes, as it allows for clear-cut information to be conveyed to the reader. However, sometimes it is desirable to present a number of research topics so that readers can pick out the main point being covered, a nd what further reading is needed.Another way to group research paper topics is to list each topic in a list. This helps the researcher to think in a more abstract manner. He/she can ask themselves, 'What information can I get from this research?' 'Which is the most important thing to know about this topic?'Regardless of the way a research paper is written, the main goal is always to provide as much information to the reader as possible. In fact, the writer should put emphasis on gathering enough details to ensure that they do not fall back on any one point, as there could be an additional topic that provides greater insight into the subject matter. One reason that research paper topics should include all of the research provided is to make sure that the article will be readable. If it is difficult to understand a small portion of the paper, the reader will consider the whole work to be poorly written. If a writer needs to write multiple research paper topics for speech language patho logy, they should choose topic areas where the most general information will suffice. While the more complex topic areas may require detailed research, the need to put in the time is worth it in the end. The audience is willing to take the time to learn about a new and innovative way of delivering services.Best research paper topics for speech language pathology include anything from research on fluency or on phonemic awareness, to research on accents, and research on the role of the patient in helping one to recover. A Clash of Beliefs Essay - 866 Words
A Clash of Beliefs The earth and all the life on it was created in seven days, at least this is what I was taught growing up in a Catholic family. This was everything I knew, until in fifth grade when I first heard about evolution. I could not understand the concept, and my mother would not tell me what it was because she did not believe it could be true. Over the next few years I gradually learned more and more about evolution. As I learned about Darwinââ¬â¢s magical thing called ââ¬Å"descent with modificationâ⬠my upbringing began to come into question. Among the features that distinguish them from the other amniotes, the reptiles and the birds, are hair, three middle ear bones, mammary glands infemales, and a neocortex (a region of the brain). The mammalian brain regulates body temperature and the circulatory system, including the four-chambered heart. The mammals include the largest animals on the planet, the rorqual whales, as well as some of the most intelligent, such as elephants, some primates and some cetaceans. The basic body type is a four-legged land-borne animal, but some mammals are adapted for life at sea, in the air, in the trees, or on two legs. The largest group of mammals, the placentals, have a placenta which feeds the offspring during pregnancy. Mammals range in size from the 30ââ¬â40 mm (1. 2ââ¬â1. 6 in) bumblebee bat to the 33-meter (108 ft) blue whale. Birds (class Aves or clade Avialae) are feathered, winged, bipedal, endothermic (warm-blooded), egg-laying, vertebrate animals. With around 10,000 living species, they are the most speciose class of tetrapod vertebrates. All present species belong to the subclass Neornithes, and inhabit ecosystems across the globe, from the Arctic to the Antarctic. Extant birds range in size from the 5 cm (2 in) Bee Hummingbird to the 2. 75 m (9 ft) Ostrich. The fossil record indicates that birds emerged within theropod dinosaurs during the Jurassic period, around 150 million years ago. Birds are the only members of the clade originating with the earliest dinosaurs to have survived the Cretaceousââ¬âPaleogene extinction event 66 million years ago. Modern birds are characterised by feathers, a beak with no teeth, the laying of hard-shelled eggs, a high metabolic rate, a four-chambered heart, and a lightweight but strong skeleton. All living species of birds have wings; the most recent species without wings was the moa, which is generally considered to have become extinct in the 16th century. Wings are evolved forelimbs, and most bird species can fly. Flightless birds include ratites, penguins, and a number of diverse endemic island species. Some species of birds, particularly penguins and members of the Anatidae family, are adapted to swim. Birds also have unique digestive and respiratory systems that are highly adapted for flight. Some birds, especially corvids and parrots, are among the most intelligent animal species; a number of bird species have been observed manufacturing and using tools, and many social species exhibit cultural transmission of knowledge across generations. Some marine reptiles, such as ichthyosaurs and mosasaurs, rarely ventured onto land and gave birth in the water. Others, such as sea turtles and saltwater crocodiles, return to shore to lay their eggs. Some marine reptiles also occasionally rest and bask on land. Tigers in Bangladesh are now relegated to the forests of the Sundarbans and the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The Chittagong forest is contiguous with tiger habitat in India and Myanmar, but the tiger population is of unknown status. In another study, home ranges of adult female tigers were recorded comprising between 12 and 14 km2 (4. 6 and 5. 4 sq mi). , which would indicate an approximate carrying capacity of 150 adult females. The small home range of adult female tigers (and consequent high density of tigers) in this habitat type relative to other areas may be related to both the high density of prey and the small size of the Sundarbans tigers. Zeus In Greek Mythology Essay Example For Students
Zeus In Greek Mythology Essay In order to explain certain natural events, such as earthquakes, windstorms, andthunder and lightning storms, The Greeks invented a collection of myths andcharacters. Just as with most modern religions, Greek Mythology bases most ofits myths on morality and ethics issues. Unlike Egyptian Mythology, theGreeks did not focus on what was going to happen in their afterlife. They weremore concerned with the here and now. There was no written special commandmentsin Greek Mythology. The Greeks did, however, base most of their moral andethical ideals on the Iliad and the Odyssey, both written by Homer. In his work,Homer says that man holds his own fate in his hands. He portrays that wrath willcause much suffering, pain, and even death. Homer formed the fundamentalattitude of the Greek mind. He established the foundation of excellence for allaspects of life, and the Greeks put these into their reality. Nothing was knownabout Homer or any part of his life, so the question arises as to whether H omerwas a single individual or was he, in actuality, a collection of authors. TheGreeks had a polytheistic culture. Unlike the religions of other ancientcivilizations, the Greeks created the gods in their own image. They were holydeities that could make contact with humans, often in a disguise. The gods hadthe same desires and weaknesses as human beings and the myths often portrayedthem as lustful, greedy and vengeful. There was no holy place that the Greekswent and prayed to the gods. Instead, the temples that were erected, were forthe gods to come and visit. Festivals were often held to praise the gods. Duringthese festivals, no war could be fought. The gods spoke to humans throughoracles and people often went to these oracles for advise on what the godswanted. The gods were used to explain whether humans would have great fortune orhardships. They lived at the highest point of Greece, Mount Olympus. Accordingto the myths, there were three generations of gods. The first were the Ti tans. Cronus was the leader of the Titans. He was married to Rhea. As the ruler of theTitans, he had been warned that one of his children would overthrow him. Toprevent this, he swallowed all five of them. Rhea became pregnant again, and didnot want her sixth child to be swallowed. She hid away until the baby was born. This baby was Zeus, later to become the king of the Olympians. When Rheareturned, she deceived Cronus by giving him a rock wrapped in cloth to swallow. After being raised by Nymphs, Zeus grew strong and went back to find Rhea. Gaea, the Earth goddess, gave Zeus a potion. Cronus was, once again, deceived and hedrank the potion. The magic potion forced Cronus to vomit up all of Zeusbrothers and sisters; Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades and Poseidon. A war broke outbetween the Titans and the Olympians. It was a war of natural disasters andusing thunder, lightning, rough seas and volcanoes, the Olympians werevictorious over the Titans. Zeus sent his father and uncles to the underworld. Zeus was the god of the sky and the rain. His weapon was a thunderbolt. Hemarried his sister, Hera, the goddess of marriage. Zeus gained marriage to herthrough trickery. He pretended to be a bird to convince Hera to feel sorry forhim. As soon as she comforted the little creature, he changed back into hisnormal form. He then raped her. Hera only married him because of the shame thatshe felt. Hera was often been portrayed as a jealous nuisance but Zeusrepeatedly chased earth women and goddesses, having many affairs that bore manychildren. The greatest temple in Greece was in honor of Hera. In actuality, themyths show that man worshipped her For before Zeus was worshipped. godoriginally was thought to have the form of the woman. Early man worshipped thefemale body either pregnant or of age to have children. The only power humanshad was over reproduction, so this was sacred. Zeus had two brothers that helpedhim defeat his father Cronus. Poseidon was the God of the sea, earthquakes andhor ses. He also had the ability to change shape, and, oftentimes, he changedinto a horse. The trident was his weapon and although he was allowed to live onMount Olympus, he spent most of the time underwater. Hades was Zeus otherbrother. He chose to rule the underworld. He possessed a helmet that made thewearer invisible to both gods and humans. Aside from the many other gods thatreigned in Mount Olympus, there were dozens of mythical , and sometimesfrightening creatures. The Cyclopes were three brothers, Arges, Brontes andSteropes. They each had only one eye in the middle of their forehead. They werefriends of Zeus because they made the lightning bolts, the trident and thehelmet that later defeated Cronus. Another creature was the Sphinx. She had thebody of a lion, the wings of an eagle and the head of a woman. She would pose aquestion to passers-by who wanted to go into Thebes. What being in onelifetime goes on four legs, at another time on two, and yet when it is old, goeson three? A wrong answer would earn the travelers death by strangulation ofthe Sphinxs lion claws. One day, Oedipus came upon this hideous creature andshe asked the question of him. His answer was, Why the being is man, for as ababy he crawls on four legs and then, when he is grown up, he walks on two. Inold age, a walking stick becomes his third leg. The Sphinx was furious atOedipus because he guessed the answer correct. He broke the spell. One look atMedusa could turn any man to stone. She was once a beautiful girl turned into amonster, with snakes coming from her head, by Athena, the Goddess of wisdom. .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893 , .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893 .postImageUrl , .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893 , .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893:hover , .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893:visited , .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893:active { border:0!important; } .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893:active , .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893 .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u1348912beee55e4c2c2ac3c64a25a893:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: The Yellow Wallpaper ââ¬â Journey into Insanity Essay ThesisEver wonder why the city of Atlantis was lost? The myth states that Poseidon, deeply in love with a mortal girl, made an island for her. He married her andthey produced five sets of twins, all male. Atlantis was named after the eldestof the sons, Atlas, after he died. Atlas sons made Atlantis the richestkingdom in all the world.. It had a brass-covered wall around the kingdom and atemple built from solid gold. Soon this wealth became overwhelming. People werefighting and they became very greedy. Zeus, after finding what was happening tothis city, ordered that something be done. He sunk the island to the bottom ofthe ocean sea using a huge tidal wave. Whether or not Atlantis really existed isnot proven, but many have tried to find it. Greek myths gave the Ancient Greeksanswers to the unexplainable that they could relate to. The 5 Best Content Marketing Tips Youll Ever Read
The 5 Best Content Marketing Tips Youll Ever Read Just a few weeks ago, I was at a social media conference speaking about one of the more advanced topics of content marketing. All went well,à until I was done speaking. As I left the stage, I was immediately greeted by an audience member who had a both a complaint and a question. The complaint was that nothing I just said made any sense to her. She was new toà this stuff. My bad. The question, on the other hand, was pretty simple how do I get started? How do I make sure my contentà marketing works, and doesnt just follow the fad? Great question, and one that you should be asking as well. Whenever I get this question, there are fiveà bestà content marketing tipsà that I quickly rattle off. Thisà business owner was eating them up, and I soon realized that this was good stuff. More people need to know about them,à I thought. So, here they are.à This is the stuff we all need to hearà every once and awhile. This is how to write a good blog and make sure your effort actually pays off. They are my bestà content marketing tips. Heresà how to write a good blog and make sure your effort actually pays off. Tip #1 ââ¬â You Need A Blog To Tell Your Story Step one, you need a blog. It doesnt really matter how big you are ââ¬â you need one. While youre at it, you should make sure that its built on WordPress. It will give you he most flexibility down the road. In addition, you need to know why you need a blog. If you work in a company, you are going to need to justify this blog to someone eventually. If you are a small business owner, you are going to need to justify the time invested toà yourself because lets face it ââ¬â youre it. Your time is your greatest asset. Every business has a story, and its up to you to make sure your story is told. One of the first things you learn in business is that people connect to people, not your brand or a faceless corporation. A blog can tell your story, share you expertise, and provide you with a human connection to your customers. In other words, you need this. One of the first things you learn in business is that people connect to people, not brands orIn addition, your blog is one of the keys to your social media awesomeness. I often refer to this as the hub and spoke model. The content that you create on your blogà (orà website) is the hub ââ¬â its the place that will set the tone for your social media messaging. Use your blog content as your platform, and let the your social media content flow from there. Tip #2 ââ¬â You Need An Email Marketing Program Social media. Social media. Social media. These days, its just about all you hear about. It is super important, but it may not be the most important part of your online marketing strategy. The reality is that email marketing still converts better than social media. And, ità is easier to do well. Heres what you need to do: Make sure there is a way for your readers to follow or subscribeà to your blog when they come visit. We cover several free plugins for collecting leadsà here. Connect your blog to your email marketing program. As you post new content, make sure it is sent automatically to your audience. In addition, you can also send a summary email once a week, promoting your most recent content in a newsletter style format. This is exactly what we do with our own Content Marketing Update. Another more advanced option is to work your way towardà creating anà email marketing auto responder course. These courses are a great way to build your email list and gain trust with your audience. We will often reuse our own blog posts to create these useful tools. Take note, that you can also do this with a great ebook or free downloadable worksheet. The best part of the email marketing program is that you will create constant touch points with your audience. This is good for everyone. Your audienceà will get helpful and interesting information, and you will constantly ensure that your content has an audience following along. This builds trust, and thats a win-win. Tip #3 ââ¬â You Need To Know What Your Customers Actually Want To Hear From You One of the biggest struggles that marketers make is not understanding their audience. What does your audience really want to hear about? What can you say on your blog that will actuallyà resonate with them? There are a few strategies that we emphasize here at , including using data from Google Analyticsà and something that we callà expanding your content core.à Lots of new businesses get started by spending a ton of time talking about their own business. This is a mistake. Yes, you need to tell your story, but not like that. Rather, you need to figure out what your audience wants to know. There are a few easy ways to make this happen. Talk to your receptionist. What are the questions your customers ask when they first call your office? The woman I spoke to at the conference ran a salon and massage company. For her, it might be finding out the questions that her attendants are beingà asked time and time again. Theres know better way to discover what your customers want to hear than asking the people that know your customers the best. Try to figure out what they are searching for. 60% of purchases made by consumers nowà start with a search onà Google.à Thats astounding.à Take advantage of this and address those searches with your own blog content using a keyword-based strategy. Watch what your current customers are saying on social media. Follow your customers on social media and pay close attention to what they are talking about.à You can use a tool like Mention to monitor broad topics and industry discussion effectively. This listening strategy can be an efficient way to learn. Ask them. Sometimes all you need to do is askà your audience what youà could write about that would hold theirà interest. Their ideas might surprise you. The bottom line is that you cant do effective online marketing without understanding your audience. Spend some time researching this before you get too far. Once you can easily compile your data into reader personas youve gone far enough. Tip #4 ââ¬â You Need To Learn How To Write For The Web Researcher Jacob Neilson confirmed that readers are more likely to scan our content than they are to read every word. In order to make your content consumable, you need to make sure it is properly formatted for online use. There are many ways to make sure that your content is readable. Here are a fewà you can implement right away. highlightedà keywordsà (hypertext links serve as one form of highlighting; typeface variations and color are others) meaningfulà sub-headingsà (not ââ¬Å"cleverâ⬠ones) bulletedà lists one ideaà per paragraph (users will skip over any additional ideas if they are not caught by the first few words in the paragraph) theà inverted pyramidà style, starting with the conclusion half the word countà (or less) than conventional writing This is an important topic, as there are many other things to consider, such as mobile devices and outside distractions that happen when your audience is reading your content. For an in-depth look at getting your content read check out this recent post. Tip #5 ââ¬â You à Need An Editorial Calendar I am a huge believer in setting goals, making a plan, and forcing yourself to stick with it. If you want your marketing to be any good, you are going to need to doà the same.à Often times, many marketers may take the more casual approach to blogging and social media scheduling ââ¬â only posting when they have an idea, or at a moment of inspiration. This wont work. When youà leave your marketing up to chance, chances are it will never actuallyà happen. Thats why you need an editorial calendar.
